Reverb craziness

Post by germy_w »

Alright, on my 404, (which I've had for at least year) I've recently run into a weird glitch of some sort involving the reverb. I can use it for a while, assign it to some pads, and then it suddenly stops working. Only the balance still works. But when I turn it all the way to the right... nothing.
Anyone else run into this problem or know what to do about it?

Just to further explain the problem, the same samples that I can't use reverb on, I also can't resample. These are samples I've recorded in the past day or so. Anything I recorded before that (a month ago) resamples and reverbs fine.

Anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?

To make this even more frustrating all of the other effects work fine. Its like the 404 is taunting me but all I want is reverb. ahhhh!

This sounds more like a broken flash card or card with some serious bad sectors on it than a broken Reverb FX.

Do the internal pad banks give a faulty Reverb FX too?

I don't know, you might want to format your card in Windows and check it for bad sectors. Alternatively you could try to format in your 404 a few times as well, to see if this helps anything.

Thanks, I just formatted it on the 404 and that seems to have worked like a charm.
