Both Pharaohe Monch and Prince Po went solo. Prince Po has done a few stuff with Madlib and Percee P. They were a pretty awesome duo, I still have their self-titled album, which is dope.

digable planets and grand puba are cool as hell. afrocentric rap kinda disappeared and so did their group and grand puba rocked with sadat x who is all solo now with a bunch of new ish. but i always like grand puba the most, reel to reel is a really good album. man, i only listen to hip hop made before like 1998. everything after that got a little out of touch for me cause im so used to the simple break beats and sample lops with original hip hop on top. now you got synth beats and recycled raps over and over again, even in the underground realm, same concepts " hip hop is dead" or "this is how i became an mc". im gonna flip shit if i hear another rap song about how they came to fame. sheesh

Does someone here know what ever happened to Onyx The Birthstone Kid? Some people say he's Rodan from M.I.C., but his voice is completetely different.

Ah, here's also another great duo, from Oakland(euclid might be familiar with them):

Props to E. Simon for showing me these guys :)

Amen to that. There's so much youth disrespecting the oldschool era. Luckily in my town there seem to be bunch of youngsters digging deeper than what's hot today. On the other hand there's also lotsa old farts my age who say no to everything new.

i say no to alot of new stuff. id rather be in the woods somewhere with a box of old hip hop casettes from 1990 to 1998 and a field full of weed.
i actually gave away my shoebox of hip hop tapes to this raver girl for a fucking "e" tab back in my new york days.
