what onestly do you think about this fx?
for 80€ (111usd) is a good buy?
can we apply 2fx at time?
can we use it as external fx for recorders (send/return)?
thanks

It's too much of a gimmick type of gear for my taste. The price seems reasonable though.

youre confusing the mini kp with kaossilator

just kidding

it should be the same effects as the kp2 minus a few like the autotune. for 100 or so bucks thats a steal, thats like one dollar per effect

summary & pro/contra:

pro:
- affordable! top cost/performance ratio
- good touchpad, large enough
- a good "best of" selection of fx
- portable, battery-operated
- plastic, but durable
- 3,5mm headphone jack with volume control

contra:
- no MIDI
- no sampler
- no gold-plated connectors ()
- no blinking leds on the pad
- no pad motion function
- no input volume knob
- no mic input, no vocoder
- wet/dry and fx release setting too complicated for dynamic changes

Yeah, I think of the Kaossilator as even more of a toy though. ;)

Your con list there says enough for me, but you're right too, at 100 bucks one can hardly complain about what FX you'd get. :)

you may get feed back if you try the send return on it if it doesnt have a switch

i'd google that

midi isnt really a big deal its more like icing on the kp3 cake, because you can use it in any situation either building tracks, effecting tracks, or controlling fxs from ableton or other hardware with the touchscreen. but there are videos with people doing weird stuff with hardware triggering fxs on the kp3

you can change all the messages the kp3 sends and recieves with the editor which is nice

heres one guy going nuts with some sequencer

Actually, midi is useful for one thing though, and that's making the bpm based FX synchronize correctly. That can be quite useful.

yes, now i understand better, but i prefer to have an fx machine wich is possible to use it also as an external fx module...
...so kp2 and kp3 hve the same "trouble"?

Yeah, you can definitely feed signals through both KPs as if it's an external FX module (it's mainly meant for that actually, not for stand-alone use nor sampling).

They come in handy when you got any sampler that has no FX. I only have problems figuring out what affect is set on what preset number on the dial.
