That Minimogue VA is the shit, I been usin if for a while. Also check out Karnage, you can find it at http://www.krakli.co.uk/freesynths.asp as well some others.

I recommend http://www.cantabilesoftware.com/ if your looking for a simple, free VST host. Grab the Lite version.
