def true but no resampling multiple pads will mean you gotta do it live  . I cant really play the SP live but I would love the challenge

A live SP battle?

hmmm.... I think shit will sound terrible  but it be would def sth new...
I'm not quite sure how I like it.. I'm not that live banger but f*** it!
Anyway the wind blows it's coo with me...!!!
(Resampling should be allowed... Why not?)
(I would agree with one vocal so everbody can bring their name to the track)

One important fact on these battles was that everbody has the same sources. I think we should keep it that way... (beside your personal vocal)

I also liked the "flip a birthday song" suggestion... but anybody remember frosty the snowman (x-mas07) ? Don't get me wrong but beats wasn't that real big shit... (sorry guys... :!:  )
Why don't we pick that sample from #1 ?

In the end I would say it's up to the winner of #24 which sounds to pick and either to do the live or programing shit.

But anybody agree with me to invite some of the older participants?
Would be cool to have A LOT of people for this party and the past showed that we get more people in the arena if the sample is easy to work with...

Any more ideas?

Cool idea, too but has every sp an internal mic???
Just your mouth and your hands for making noise (oh and of course cat farts)... pretty cool!

I can play the sp live, but it's hard beast to tame. Plus the 303 doesn't have an internal mic, but I have a mic I could use if need be.

If you can resample multiple pads at the same time then most people wont play live- most will just hit the resample button and record their unquantized drum pattern and delete it and try again if they make a mistake. resampling just a single pad is no problem. But I'm cool with whatever everyone agrees to.

Why don't we pick that sample from #1 ?

ha ha ha, i like that idea. I would like to flip Lou Reed again.

ya that would be nice to have me, frantic, ig9 do lou reed again. We could compare it to what we did June 07, plus new competition.

Damn... I just went back and read the first battle thread... you guys did a good job getting this thing goin homie. a shout out to the first who done it would definitely be in order. Props for being in on every one of em too!

Ahhhh... the thrill of the arena. 8)

I like the no sequencing idea... even with resampling our own loops. That would be fun as hell. Whenever the idea gets nailed down, maybe the winner from #24 can pick samp for #26, so they don't miss out. And the winner for battle #25 can get something special... like a cookie.

Sounds cool although I think the 555 is abit better for that shit... (16pads and roll function)

Did ya guys ever thought of a LIVE battle... let's say through skype or sth. ? (just audio of course... )

That would be really cool... but is it possible?

One date, one tournament! Live in your living room! whooosh No.25

Just wanted to bring this on top again...

Anybody else likes the idea of a live button smash battle ?
Anybody wanna try this with me? Just pm @ me and we could check the connection of skype and sound n'stuff. I would use a microphone to "record" directly from my speakers or is it possible to plug in the 404 into the mic in of my board sound? Is it a good idea AND is it technicly possible at least for a few guys of you to participate at this?

Shit will be exciting! 8)

How many video conference connections at one time does it allow? I don't think a whole lot and the various time zones probably will cause some issues as well.

I do like the general idea of 'live' playing without sequencer. Even if it means that we must record a video of it.

Does everybody have a cam?
