Audio is still unironically one of the best albums I've heard to this day

Yes indeed...:)

The whole 'Sunburst' album, which that track's taken from is super nice stuff... highly recommended.

Good to see peeps digging these Jazz Fusion cuts here on the forum ..it's the genre which has the biggest influence on all of the music I make myself.

An older and lesser-known one this, one of those tunes you know you love but won't admit it.
This link comes courtesy of the SP-USER drive to turn Danswift and Zindan into ABBA fans.

Oh I get it, maybe they're after some "Fusion". I don't think ABBA ever did a Jazz Fusion track, but this very early track (which was recorded before they had even finalised their logo), has a sort of "Fusion" feel to it in my opinion (especially at 2:00 in the video). Not entirely sure what it is a "Fusion" of (possibly funk), but it does kinda feel like a 'Fusion' track to me.

Would be very interested to know if it's "Fusion", or if not then what genre it falls under:

Bruh, those are completely different lyrics to the ABBA track, but anyway, since no one has come forward I'm going to hazard a guess and say that the ABBA track is Disco/Funk Fusion, best way I can describe it.

Whatever it is, I think it's majorly catchy stuff!

Before I jump back out of ABBA mode, I just wanted to say that while I think Voyage is the least impressive album they released, it's very nice to see them keeping-up production of cassettes. Since the album made the status of the most pre-ordered album in music history, it's a shame we can't see the actual sales figures of the cassette!

Would be a very interesting statistic to see I reckon, but oh well, big-up to ABBA anyway for continuing to be the music industry rebels they always have been, and for continuing to be the thorn in the backside of the music industry. In case you're wondering what I'm talking about, right from the very early days, ABBA, in so many words, pretty much told the entire music industry to go and fuck itself.

If ever you needed to see first-hand proof of how cut-throat and corrupt the agenda-fuelled music industry is, then in my opinion you need look no further than the other-worldly YouTube viewing figures for artists like Adele and Ed Sheeran and then compare them to the relatively appaling viewing figures for ABBA. Then ask yourself why the viewing figures of such artists could possibly be so misrepresentative when you consider that this new album from ABBA is the most pre-ordered album in history, while Adele's and ED Sheeran's garbage ... well ... isn't.

Pure poison in action right in front of your face, and it should signal to everyone how vile, corrupt and manipulative things are. If the algorithms were truly representative and not manipulated, ABBA's viewing figures would be like nothing you have ever seen before, and you wouldn't even know about garbage like Adele and Ed Sheeran. Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus could be in a fucking coma and still write infinitely better music than those couple of 'YouTube-Luvvies'.

But yeah, I have a very deep respect for ABBA, not just because they are completely fucking incredible at no matter what genre of music they touch, but because they also chose very early on in their career to risk losing out on fame in favour of putting the sort of music onto their albums that THEY wanted to put on there, NOT what a bunch of music industry 'suits' wanted them to put on there. So let that be a lesson boys and girls, that if you want to stand out and dominate, do your OWN thing, NOT what everyone else does. If people want to laugh, let them laugh, cause guess who has the last laugh?

I think it's fair to say they made the right decision

PS: I like the way they used initials of the logo to represent the A and B sides of the cassette!

From Wikipedia:
"Smoke City was an English band that blended acid jazz and trip hop, borrowing from Brazilian styles such as samba and bossa nova and some lyrics have excerpts in Portuguese. They are best known for their single "Underwater Love", which was a major hit in 1997, after being used in a Levi's television advertisement, "Mermaids"."
