Well, my final attempt to bring people out of the dark and into the battle with a cool little creativity tip.

Epicness doesn't have to be about dramatic, powerful blasts of sonic bliss. Epicness can be achieved through soft and gentle if you're creative enough. I remember hearing a song that was based purely around the recording of a ticking clock from start to finish. I literally do mean from start to finish, as in you hear the clock ticking at the start of the song but it's not until you reach the end of the song, notice the ticking again, that you realise that the clock was ticking all along, and that the song was based completely around it. The song slowly builds in epicness over time and you forget about the clock, but nevertheless, the clock remained ticking all along.

Just the ticking of a clock, that's all, yet you have a whole sample to play with in this SPBB.

Here's that tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick song by the way:

And before anyone jumps down my throat, I'm not pretending I'm worthy enough to give anyone here beat-making tips. It's a creativity tip, that's all.

Anyway, no more scouting for participants from me, I didn't even touch my MODX yesterday or today though posting here. Will be watching but not postng on the matter again until the Results Poll thread needs posting which I'll do on the 20th.

Fuck me that was horrible.
Contrived, dull, like saccharin being forced down your throat and boring as fuck.

Is it Christmas ?
Has somebody died during the recording ? ..

Jesus...

Audio torture ...a sonic golden shower if you will ..

They should rename themselves ABBATOIR...

ABBATOIRE - BECAUSE WE SLAUGHTER THE VERY BEST

I like it dude, I like it, that's very nice and that's a killer slogan to go with it. ABBA do have the knack of being able to shame the best no matter what style of music they put their skills to, so you just won a night out in the city as a thank you for the very cool suggestion.

I am behind you
I'll always find you
I am the Tiger

People who fear me
Never go near me
I am the Tiger

And if I meet you
What if I eat you
I am the Tiger

I am behind you
I'll always find you
I am the Tiger Tiger Tiger

TIGER

Best comment in the comment section so far:
"Criminally underrated ABBA song. Most bands would kill for a song this good"

I know you want to hear it so here you go, Tiger:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWQ7wrPyUe0

Of course, you should be making a beat instead of losing yourself in the musical craftmanship and versatility of ABBA. After all, I was under the impression you had "no time" after your comment the other day ... just sayin bro!

Truly ghastly stuff...

They've been gone for 40 years and now they're back

God only knows why...

As if the world hasn't suffered enough over this last 18 months ..

My Grandma liked them ..you have something in common with her..

You know why I fucking hate ABBA?

It's memories of shiny ,vacant looking morons on Top Of The Pops ..shoddy 70s wallpaper..cheap supermarket pizza.. seafront Bingo callers ..terrible cacophonous hen night types on a Saturday night, blokes with bad haircuts, soft taches and Tacchini tracksuit tops ..its smug cunts who drone on about the supposed cinematic brilliance of the Mamma Mia movie..over and over ..

It's their absolutely ridiculous clothes and plinky plonky singalong ,clap happy bullshit .

It's the lowest common denominator...utter bollocks..it's fucking chav music ..oh , and those two bearded twats look like seedy porno directors by the way.

Jesus, twice in one day I'm agreeing with Danswift!

Putting 'serious mode' on for a minute, I agree about the overall impression they gave, the cheesiness etc. Hell, I live in Blackpool so you can imagine how many pubs, clubs, karaoke and bingo places I pass-by with ABBA being blasted-out loud. Passing by the Pier in the summer is pretty much a guarantee you'll hear ABBA. Often makes me cringe, not because of the songs, but because it always reminds me of the "Mamma Mia" image they've landed themselves with. I know yhey're proud of that song's success and that it basically created a franchise of it's own, but personally I remember an interview quite a few years back where Benny actually came across sounding really pissed-off that people see them as camp and dismiss their music over their image (which he just sees as flambouyant fun). Not sure about Bjorn, but Benny clearly doesn't like the reputation it gave them (at least it came across that way).

I said previously that one of my biggest wishes for their return is that it will trigger a new wave of Disco tacks. I love Disco, and it surprises me you hate on ABBA so much, especially being a Hip-Hop guy. One of my favourite tracks of theirs is "If It Wasn't For The Nights", and after doing a search just now, not surprisingly there's a Hip-Hop homie reviewing that very track. Funny thing is, regardless of it being among my favourites, they themselves never deemed it good enough for release as a single, which is absolutely insane!

A Hip-Hop homie's Review of "If It Wasn't For The Nights":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qT_Hhvc3W7k

Another one da homie likes:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8Sux_DGSKk

They're masters of their craft dude, and our Hip-Hop homie here refers to them as "Legends", so my congratulations to your Grandmother, she had great taste in music. ABBA is appreciated generation after generation. Reading the comments, even the homie's Hip-Hop lovin' followers seem to agree with him. In fact it sounds as if they, as Hip-Hop lovers themselves, were continuously bigging ABBA up so that he'd check them out, lol

Anyway, no more ABBA tracks no matter how much you troll for one, you should be making a beat!!!

Was just reading a thread on here, it lists a bunch of previous SPBB masters and I couldn't help but notice IIIII listed there quite a few times. Shame the homie's not into this one, would have been cool to hear what he'd have come up with!

Oh well, only two days left until the most chaotic SPBB in history draws to a close. I have something to deal with on Monday so won't be able to post the Poll Thread until later in the evening, but it will still be posted on Monday.

I used the low pass and iso on it, you prob need a better sub to hear it.
Also my man Rick rolled through and dropped vocals.
It’s all within the rules here BB
