you say you think the problem is the polyphony limit, but i don't see how that could possibly be it considering you said you're trying to use the RESAMPLE method. you only run into polyphony problems in pattern sequencer where more than 2 pads can be played simultaneously.
like i said before, you can only resample with TWO pads playing simultaneously, so that would be 4 voices MAX if you resample two stereo pads.
and you essentially have UNLIMITED polyphony with the resample method because if you resample 2 stereo pads, they become mixed into ONE new stereo pad.
you can repeat this process indefinitely, an infinite number of stereo samples playing at once, using the resample method.
i truly believe you are just trying to resample more than TWO PADS at once. that is not a polyphony problem.
if you want to use the resample method, you're going to have to resample TWO PADS at a time, then you augment on each new resample.
for example:
chop a part of a song you want to sample and put it on loop mode
resample that on loop mode with ONE other pad, a hi hat
now i have a new pad that consists of the loop WITH a hi hat
sample that new loop with ONE other pad, a snare
now i have a new pad that consists of a loop, a hi hat, and a snare
etc
etc

also
NO, YOU ARE NOT LIMITED TO ANY QUANTIZED GRID IN PATTERN MODE
YOU CAN ALWAYS CREATE PATTERNS WITH NO QUANTIZATION

Ah gotcha, yeah I misunderstood something along the way then.zendan wrote:you say you think the problem is the polyphony limit, but i don't see how that could possibly be it considering you said you're trying to use the RESAMPLE method. you only run into polyphony problems in pattern sequencer where more than 2 pads can be played simultaneously.
