https://soundcloud.com/jaytreaze/spbb312 :D

chops from about halfway in this record https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TyeGSmksPrI

that bass one shot when sample cuts was from one of the drum breaks so I really went with the "you may use any of the samples in any way you wish" haha. Fun session doing this one. Peace.

*something I recently found that works well: Mfx12 on the chops and bass (when levelled, levelling being something I'm still working on) and then adjust the main volume of the sp and the level of mfx12 to get that balance to keep ur drums snappy how you eq them to then sit well with what you're tweaking on the level knob for whats set to mfx12 :D

This ^^ that last track was sufficient enough for the battle Imo, tons of chops there.
Anyway, took the flute and kept it simple - drums, flute, subsonic flute for bass. Drums recorded first with VOICE TRANS, then resampled with efx, everything else layered afterwards.

Exported directly off SD, and I added a bit of limiting since obviously subsonic wreaks havoc, especially when mixing using headphones only, which ofc I did being a lazy mofo

Peace

Hey guys,

https://soundcloud.com/compressingfire/spbb312wav

Bassline is TAL noisemaker plugin.

I put it together in pattern mode, recording it out onto computer with some DJ looper fx on the chops then back into the SP for compression.

I only used the sample provided. Sampled on a 404sx
The vocal is "boom biddy bye bye - cypress hill X fugees rmx "

Editing vocals on sp is a pain in the ass

Peace.

its all fun and games until you get your own post removed [this is not spam]

Wen faced with large sample selections one can become numb to the possibilities. Focusing on what is necessary can become tiresome and a complete burden. BUt burdens can lead to new and unique cercumsantes! wow! A good technique is pulling random sound at random and using them at random. You never know what can happen in such a play state. Thats why i always use allstate insurance. It’s great for millennial and those who wish to be!

Added a clean bass throughout and then a fuzzed bass towards the end.
