I was apprehensive about it at first cuz I wanted a rane ttm 56 (who doesn't) but in the interest of saving a few hundred I bought this one brand new off ebay.
I LOVE it.
Its so much nicer than my 06 and 07 of past days.
The fader is pretty damn surgical.
Only beef with it is the upfaders dont curve as well as they could and the headphone cue is pretty poorly thought out but I can live with and work around those things.

I never have used one of the samurai mixers. I always wondered what the deal was. I just remeber it has a setting that makes your 1 clicks sound like 2 clicks er something like that. Not a bad price considering what they were brand new.

ya, they got these wierd settings that make crabing effects n things like that. Its pretty wak actually. But aside from that its basically an 06 with a dope feel and nasty cut.

sp 404, gameboy classic with nanoloop 1.3, mpc 2000 with 8-out board, mc crypt 8 channel mixer, into thinkpad and hifi amplifier and monitors.
I use the 404 just for re\sampling and tweaking, and post production to compress and distort....
the 2000(classick,baby)does what it does best--sequencing!
the nanoloop is for REALLY rough drums,8 bit gives a HEAVY crunch!
all the samples come from my setup of 2 vestax pdx 2000 and stanton sk-5,
and an old mic to hurt some things in hope they sound good..........

I've got a Kaoss Pad 3 too, wonderful thingy to mess around with, but I haven't quite figured out how to link it to my SP-606. It's mainly a cable issue I'm wondering about.

If you've got any ideas, please let me know. :)
