Resample/save to pad volume problem

Post by auwerk »

Hello! I'm playing with SP-555 (software v1.03).
Does anyone know how to avoid losing volume when resampling or saving to pad from loop capture?

-- Resample example --
1. Sample something from line in to pad 1 in bank A (no peaking)
2. Resample without any fx applied to pad 2 in bank A (resample volume set to 127, no peaking)
3. Resample pad 2 to pad 3 in same bank just like in step 2 (no fx, no peaking, max resample volume)

What I expect: samples with same volume in all three pads
What I get: samples become quieter with every resample, 1 > 2 > 3

-- Loop capture example --
1. Record something to loop capture (no peaking)
2. Save to pad in bank A

What I expect: sample in pad has the same volume as loop
What I get: sample is quieter than loop

Internal processing level is 0dB, limiter is off, pad velocity is fixed.
FX is disabled intentionally to make the problem cleaner. With FX applied this problem persists.

I tried to record results into audio editor to actually SEE the difference in levels. So it doesn't seem to be just my perception.
Any ideas? Am I doing something wrong way?
