what i do is apply the effect whatever it is and then resample it to another pad.

eg. for a vocal sample with drums somethings i apply the pitch FX and make the voice sound higher. then i resample that to another pad. then on the original sample i use the pitch FX again and make the sample lower. i resample that to another pad. i now have 3 vocal samples that i can use for choruses and stuff just to mix things around a tiny bit.

hope that answers your question man.

PS nice beats man.

how old are you again?

seriously you have dope beats for just being 16. when i was 16 i was banging away making robot beats on fruity loops

well to resample there's a button for it on the 404. say you have your tom on pad 1 and pad 2 is free, well press resample and then hit record and all the pads in that bank that are free will start flashing select whatever pad you want and then that pad will stay lit (i think) and all the pads with samples on them will start to flash. select pad 1 because that's where your tom sample is and it will immediately start recording. when you;re done recording press the REC button and that will stop it.

when you resample it degrades the sound quality a bit so i tend no to put lo-fi sampling mode on. you can also use this method to record numerous samples up to the maximum polyphony the 404 will allow (i think). i use this method to make beats because i find it more suited to my own personal work-flow. i really don't use the pattern editor a lot (although recently i've been using to structure some stuff, if i had another sample i could bounce my patterns into i'd be str8 8) ).

anyway hope that answers your question mang.
