404sx + Korg SQ-1 / Beatstep Connectivity

Does anyone by chance use either the OG Beatstep or especially the Korg SQ-1 to sequence/step sequence samples from the 404sx without any use of computers? For one, I know and have read here that it's possible with midi.

Would really appreciate a walk-through for this because I feel that a step-seq workflow would really ease everything.

I'm relatively new here and would greatly appreciate any help for me to set-up my 404sx.
