I am intrigued by the 404 and other SPs available these days, seems most folk on here are using 404s. Would quite like to have a play on one, seems like one can live loop on them? Something I always thought was a shame is not possible on the 808. When I got my 808 I think the only other sp was a dr sample sp202. I have been out of the loop for years, it is cool there are other SPs out there and being used. Maybe the effects you are talking about on my drum track are simply the way I have sequenced the drums on the sequencer tracks.

the triplets and the rolls are sequenced? cool! i thought it was the step modulator
i personally used an sp303 for those tracks i recorded in this battle. I tried an sp404 some years ago and the looper fx are great, something similar you can find on the kaoss pad
