So just making a space where people can say what they use the c canceller for so we can all learn some new tips.

I was working on a beat today where everything was sounding sweet but still lacking a bit of weight to it

anyways I thought why not put the c canceller on the whole beat to see what it would sound like and found that the lower harmonics really shone through.

long story short i ended up layering the original beat over the top of the effected one and after tweaking the high and lo on the c canceller it seemed to add some really nice low end to it that still sounded organic as oppose to just using the subsonic and the mids seemed to cover a larger stereo field without making everything to busy.

hope you get some ideas and that out of this!

peace.

i agree, canceller works great as a low pass filter, sounds way smoother (well rounded) than eq or isolator in my opinion. I think it sounds better than the MPC LPF... very warm and clean when you resample it to mono (404og)... i think the SX adds a little bit of hiss to everything it resamples.

It doesn´t mean center of the frequency specter, it means center of the stereo field. It should remove stuff that is panned center, like vocals, leads, main drum hits, etc... bass is usually center too.
