Hey guys I recently got inspired to make some 808 based beats and realized all my 808 kits sound weak and hollow. I'm looking for a well processed kit that has all the essentials to make some trap type beats (good sub bass, claps, snares, hats and percs). If ya'll could help me that would be awesome. I just don't want to get lost in internet-land for hours by searching "808 kit" ;)

yo man, you want the closest thing to 808, fire up FLSTUDIO and load the drum synth live plugin, when you sample those, its like real 808. i have a few drum machines and keyboards with 808 rom kits .

I don't have FL Studio, Reason, Ableton or any of that. Just samplers :)

here is some 808 basic default drums, there is lots you can tweak out tho to get lots of different drums, if you find a 808 vst or something more analog . i got lots of 808 drums, there scattered around the mpc data somewhere, i sampled these like a couple days ago, and threw in some sp 202 processed drums to stack with 808 sounds. i think for trap tho, you might want that real clean 808 only sound.

Really liked the sound of the 808 on an app called Caustic 3.

Really found it thick enough for some of my stuff. :)

Thanks LO and everybody else who's made suggestions :) I do have my 505 still, but haven't powered it on in about a year. It's just sitting under a dust cover staying fresh and minty for when the time calls. Also I do have Caustic3 on a windows tablet I just bought. Hseiken has been trying to get me into Caustic so I finally bit the bullet and bought a dedicated tablet for it with proper file management. $99bux for a legit win10 multitouch tablet was a pretty solid deal. I've spent the last week or so piecing together random 808kits people have shared and that I've downloaded. I think I've got just about what I'm looking for now. Never really messed with the 808s before so this should be an "interesting" experiment hahaha!

I'll probably get bored with the 808s after a track or two and go back to making good ol' boombapp 8)
