Alnitak: smooth mix and like the hiss-surge compression-artifacts that sound like an open hat. Bass made shit on my desk bounce and rattle. Straight Hop.

l i f: wtf.. can't believe I fell for this. Scraped this shit from the bottom of a burnt frypan.

ella: like the chord progression you managed to pull out.. gettin high on goodvibes, effects are dirty - shits heating. Top three for me.

Ruido: great swing on the beat, some choppy-chops that break up the overt simplicity really nicely. Top three for me.

Durdy: Flipsville.. loops and FX. Second half is more interesting, but still with the djEFX overload, sorry.. not my cuppa tea.

alecs: more loops.. damn I wanna strangle that piano player. Nice lurch on the beat tho, and the mix pumps nicely.

Chopperman: robot-disco grabbed me straight away... niice change of pace, using that stutter-effect... would loved to have heard a changeup (or down) somewhere along the line and then kick it in again (what, a 'drop' ??!) but as a microwave this kicks. Contender stuff.

Green dutch: yo, the pic illustrates this perfectly... thats where I'd sleep after a night in this saloon. As long as I don't get shot in a gunfight.

rak: thank you, thank you for strangling that piano player. He fuckin' deserved it.

HELLO: you rebellious... yes. Unfortunatley i can't listen to your track without feeling sick to my stomach.. guess I'm just not in your target-demographic. Just how it is, not you it's me.

CuzzinVinny: goes from queasy-territory into bog-standard-retro boombap with fx on every fourth bar yep I follow the structure.. sp-chops, sure but musically I'm not blown away. Again, it's just me.

Arizona: Here's some musicality. Intelligent structure/development of ideas... can tell some work went into this...the bassline is so sweet man! Dope, dope track. Top three for sure.

Sayee: Again with the drunk on the bathroom floor at 3am vibes.. but yo, if yr peeps dig that inebriated, keep doin'what you do.

Tough call to pick two from the three I named. They were excellent, given how difficult (IMO) the sample was.
(I mean really... Dick Hyman? He's like Kenny G of the piano. )

Think I'll go with ellaguru and ArizonaAL. Ruido I hope you get some votes this week you deserve it..!

l i f_ love the aliasing bass. cool shuffle but bit too shuffled for me ; )
ellaguru_ "so mix master mike a whatcha got to say?!" nice sfx design. good vibes.
Ruido_ nice chops and change up. dig it.
Durdy_ well done on working the harder parts of the sample, a little repetitive for me though.
alecsdelarge_ cozy 303 got me nodding. this is how loose grooves should sound.
Chopperman_ hahaha i agree with rak on the anxiety tunnel. very visual track.
Green Dutch_ cool ?(7/8)? broken groove. nice intro/outro too.
rak_ black black... nah i dig. cool sfx design again.
HELLOWPILLOW_ i gotta be in the mood for the L0 stylz. sadly not tonight heheh. i appreciate the vibe though, i get it.
CuzVin90_ as above^ oh wait.. yeah! nice chops and groove but i gotta agree.. fx don't count for change ups ; P
Alnitak_Kid_ take you're own advice you lazy boy..
4rizona4l_ real nice chord progression on this! jazz solo! fx as well. lotta work. well done.
SAYEE_ i understand the whole L0 vhs. i dig it. just not tonight sorry.

hopefully i didn't offend anyone. stay cool. i love you all. we're all musicians that come here to escape.
also, thanks for votes!

its a hard one actually... a lot of cool shit (and i mean it)

Damn, checked this too late for the vote. Killin subs everyone. Shout outs especially to Durdy and alecsdelarge.

@ellaguru: First I did the piano chops until I found the progression that I liked. (Half the chops were in reverse mode) Then I resampled my drum pattern (with a little FX) and bounced it from the 404sx into the 202.
Then I played the drum pattern from the 202 over my speakers while, in my headphones, I resampled my piano chops on the 404sx to make the whole form of the tune.
Next I bounced the drums back onto the 404sx while adding some drops and variations using the delay FX and the isolator on silent.
Then I basically put some more FX on the piano chops (DJ FX looper, wah, phaser, etc.) and resampled the drums and piano on top of each other. I got the other sounds in the beat by using the ring mod on the 202 on my drums and bouncing those to the 404sx.
Then I resampled with compression on the whole beat. Plugged my bass into the 404sx with the octave FX on and played along live as I recorded it into Garageband.
Finally I decided to add that four bar solo while using the chromatic FX turned up an octave on my bass. Thats about it. Sorry if this is longwinded haha.
