Happy trails to you when you upload that 20 minute track. Unless you on Bandcamp Pro, A 20 minute track will take 4 hours to upload. BandcampPro allows you to upload albums in a single sitting.noDDy hEAded fREak wrote:i gotta admit some of the dopest releases ive heard on here were released on mediafire.
But i must agree with OP, bandcamp is just much simpler and more appealing to DL... im starting to just not split up the tape into tracks and just upload it to bandcamp as one..ie, no need to separate each track.
i would probably check out more stuff here if it wasnt on a site i didnt know how to navigate well...
why not use bandcamp for albums?

Re: why not use bandcamp for albums?
Here's an idea piggy backing off the bandcamp talk...now that they have a label option, would anyone be against there being an SP FORUMS TAPES label? It'd collect all the indie releases through bandcamp by individuals using that platform so that if someone stumbles upon a bandcamp release by one of our fellow fam, they might be interested in other releases by the fam.
All of the sales/pricing/tapes etc. would still be up to the individual to setup as if the label didn't exist, the label would just be for easy cataloging of all sp-forums bandcamp releases.
This would exclude peeps like Jade Badger and the Jade Palace Crew because they have their own label stuff going on, but if they wanted on that'd be fine..it's more or less an idea for showcasing the raw talent dropping dope shit here every day. If it's on bandcamp already, why not?
Thoughts?

Re: why not use bandcamp for albums?
It would require the participation of everyone releasing bandcamp albums. Maybe it needs a sticky somewhere if we decide to do this. There's gotta be a way to have it independent of central leadership. Maybe a thread to join the label? Then I think the releases might automatically get filed under the label? I dunno how it works yet, it's just an idea...but I also don't think maybe we should force everyone if they don't want to be under the label to have to be on it.
Somehow there should be a solution to have it well known and optional so we get everyone out there that wants to participate on their own.
