newb question

so i just got the 404 and recorded some samples in using my ipod. played em back perfectly within the internal banks so i thought id try out the memory card. i sampled a few sounds into the c bank but i turned my machine off and now all the samples i had before including the internal banks are messed up. they play the first millisecond of a sound then dont work. anyone know what im doing wrong?

is the Gate button lit up? if so, press it to turn it off

otherwise it sounds like your card might be dodgy

there seems to be a few cases of people having problems recording to the card banks lately

lol the first thing i recorded into mine was from a mp3 player as well, i got mine out of state and dint have access to my studio at the time but i was dying to try it out.

haha yeah, im still also trying to figure out how to connect my vestax 07 into the sp. i think i need rca cables or something. male to male? but anyway i took out the memory card and it seems to be working better. i was suprised and worried since the internal banks were affected by it.
