 Post subject: Triggering via midi keyboard

Hey any managed to trigger anything other than preset bank 1 using an external keyboard.. I'm using an x7000 btw

It makes no sense, 1st 16 keys trigger bank one, after that they do nothing... I wonder...

hi guys i own the 505 and the 606, they both sends midi notes in a very contort way, maybe they can be midi driven from external machines too...however, on the sp606 manual there is a better explained midi implementation, who knows

did you know the the 505 can send midi notes from the 4 parts to 4 different channels? cool to controll and seq 4 different machines

i found out and forgot to update this.

so the the 505 needs you to send a program change message on channel 1 to give you access to the other banks.

so

you need a "Program Change note 0" to get back to pad-bank1.

you need a "Program Change note 1" to get back to pad-bank2.

you need a "Program Change note 2" to get back to pad-bank3. ect...

all the banks respond to midi notes 36-51 on whichever channel you have selected on "Pads Ch" under "system utility midi".

i plan on making a vid but ask here if you have questions.

FYI: the the 2 pitch banks respond to keys about 22 notes up the scale.

Right! firstly a big thanks for the help!!

i had a little blip, the 505 went on the shelf for a time after i got my asrx... :?

back on it and of course i tried using some common sense for once... the little program button on the x7000 will do wonders for ya :roll: ...

sorted.. gonna be back on the forum now... but with a bit more to share with the group....
