Anyone good at ID'ing stuff?

Hey, I got a request from you cats that got stashes of records and have heard a lot.

There's this old movie that's got some killer tunes on it and I'm trying to ID them so I can 1.) get the originals and 2.) check out those artists making that groovy stuff..

The movie in question is Bruce Lee Fights Back From The Grave.

So far, I've found that they've been pulling from other movie soundtracks from around the same time (1976-1977), but likely the cheap producers didn't just rip current soundtracks and there's tons of soundtracks I've not heard and movie's I've not seen.

So without further ado, here's the first track I'm looking for, which was used for the intro and trailer...it's straight up disco:

Does seem to work on this movie for whatever reason...either audio is too muddy, too much sound effects or those tunes aren't Shazam worthy...does shazam normally work with obscure funk and jazz?

It's a Korean film called Visitor To America, directed by Doo Yong-lee. When picked up by Aquarius, they added the intro of "Bruce" jumping out of his grave - the rest of the film has nothing to do with that

My UK VHS is taken from the Aquarius print but there is no credit for Bert Lenzi. The hero is played by a LA based taekwondo instructor, and Sho Kosugi's school makes an appearance - I think Sho plays the Japanese swordsman in the film as well. IMDB and various video covers has at times falsley claimed the involvement of Bruce Li, Umberto Lenzi, Hwang Jang-lee, Harold Sakata and Dan Inosanto in the film. Also, it claims that this Deborah Dutch - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0244740/ - is the Deborah Chaplin who plays the female lead. Odd

Maurice Sarli was the composer credited for the Aquarius release THE BODYGUARD (1976) and "Bert Lenzi" is the director's name on the 1978 release BRUTAL JUSTICE (a.k.a. ROME ARMED TO THE TEETH). Sarli is also credited as composer on the BRUTAL JUSTICE one-sheet. Since BRUCE LEE FIGHTS BACK FROM THE GRAVE was also released in '78, it appears that Levene took the names "Bert Lenzi" and "Maurice Sarli" from the BRUTAL JUSTICE ads and one-sheets and slapped them on the BRUCE LEE FIGHTS BACK FROM THE GRAVE ads and one-sheets."

"The music score for the Chinese/English version contains music lifted from the soundtracks to Rocky (1976) and Rollercoaster (1977), two films not released until after the Korean release date of this film. "

That's one I hadn't picked up on yet. Rocky and Rollercoaster tunes in the film I've all sourced. The 3 I listed weren't on those soundtracks.

Ya I know. The music is part of the movie don't understand your distinction esp if it is original made for the film as you suggest. In any event, still applies that such a low budget wonky film will be hard to find facts about and if the music is original as you mention will be even harder through reg channels. Good luck.

I'm getting close to fully ID'ing everything in the film. Still missing 3 key tracks...

I'm starting to audition library music albums in desperation though...haha...

The goal is ultimately to make a beat tape based on this movie's soundtrack...such dopeness in it all over.

Not the ones listed but tracks used in the movie from Rocky, Rollercoaster, etc. are on vinyl.
