Problem saving settings on Korg Kaoss Pad

What up ya'll,

I'm new to this board but I've been producing for a couple of years now. Anyways; I'm having a problem saving my effects settings to the program memory bank on my Kaoss Pad. I just recently updated the software to the 2.0 version so that's not the problem.

Every time I "write" (save), a setting to the program memory bank everything works fine until I turn the Kaoss Pad off. At that point everything is lost. When I boot the Kaoss Pad back up all the saved effects settings (and anything I recorded to the sample bank), are gone. Does anyone out there have a clue as to what might be the problem?

It doesn't save unless you have an SD card inserted. There's no internal memory. A cheap little 1GB is more than enough.

Also, if you have a card, check to make sure it's not locked. There's a switch on the side.
