Yo... good lookin ella... now solder them up and give it a nice case and you're the shit. 8) I was using an akku but i'm not sure where it came from... guess it was from an electric toothbrush or hair-cutter, cause i had this loading station coming with it (!!!). but somehow I was getting fucked up noises... couldn't find out the "R" of the akku.. think that was the prob.

whats up y'all

had to register just to say that this is f-ing dope! it works.

i'm gonna spend 24 hours in a van this weekend so got to thinkin how nice would the sp303 be to have along with me.

i followed the instructions here -- http://sp-forums.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1955 -- went to the radioshack down the street from my work yesterday, and amazingly they had all 4 necessary parts in the store. I walked out 10 minutes later having spent a grand total of $37.95:

2301171 9.6V True Energy RC Car Battery Pack - $19.99
2730345 Adaptaplug N - $6.99
2300445 9.6V RC Connector - $3.99
2730350 Relp Socket Assy - $3.69

charged the battery pack overnight (10 hours), hooked everything up this morning. crimping the RC connector cables to the adaptaplug extension cable was the only difficult part -- I was worried I might get my polarities switched (adaptaplug extension is white, couldn't tell between + or -), but I read online that the adaptaplug socket is symmetrical, so I forged ahead.. at first nothing worked, so I tried reversing the wires, plug it in, and like magic the sp turns on! (I now used sharpie to mark the black wire, you can kind of see it in the pic)

thanks to everyone for posting the instructions, and I wanted to post to let everyone know that yes this is definitely doable! I will report back on Monday with battery life, etc. hopefully the sp isn't fried by then...

to making beats on the road...cheers

Very cool.

Also, for those less inclined to make their own this is a similarly priced pre-built alternative discussed in the following threads:

and
