sp 808 ADSR type settings...

Post by Doomrustler »

Hello all I'm a new Sp 808 owner and new to the forums also, i am really digging this machine, i make hiphop and its serving me well so far, loving the fact i am forced to drum out beats without quantize due to the zip drive limitations, the step sequencer is pants, and the quantize is equally skiddy gusset... my main question is has anyone figured out a way to adjust the attack when triggering a sample to avoid clicks when triggering the next sample... or if there's an effect on there that might mask that sort of unwanted noise...

any help or a work around on this would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

hi, the only way to make such an effect is to manually tweak the faders while recording. this means you got to be fast. you can also use this technique to bring some velocity change in an recorded loop of hi hats or something else.
hope this helps

Also you can varipitch-down when resampling, to be more precise with short samples.

I think you can sorta do it by processing input/pad using the adsr in the synth effect. I'm working on it now. I'll let you guys know if it works out for me.

I doubt about that man, but if it does that's cool!
