I just got a novation k station for $200! its the first synth ive ever had where i diddnt have to menu dive to make sounds almost every parameter has a dedicated knob on the panel... i would highly recommend this synth to anyone, it has a really cool 'liquid' like sound to it, plus lots of fx you can apply all at the same time! this vid on yt won me over:

That thing looks cool.

More and more I'm seeing the beauty of digital synths, and this thing looks like it'd be hella fun and knob-per-function is always a pleasure instead of menu diving.

The k-station looks really cool/fun. But, can it patch more than just the trance-y house sounds that have I keep hearing across the internet? And also does anyone here use a monotron with their sp?

dude if it's a synthesizer then it can do lots of shit (provided that the user has some synthesis chops)

but if people just use the presets then yeah it's all gonna sound the same

exactly, if it aint hissin the ish outta you, get it lol

if your into organic sound have a look for an old farfisa for example, hook it up to a used multi fx and you can have some rare, authentic sound for under 200 8)
