whoever thought up the Vinyl Sim effect is a genius
(mainly for the flutter and compression)

I agree actually I've never seen an effect like that on anything else I've owned before, and its really damn useful.

Yeah, before I had my 303 I had to cook some bacon and overdub it onto my tracks to get that sizzle.

lol I still do that, you can never have too many different kinds of crackle, personally I like the sound of a fire. Rain falling is another good one. Car tires on gravel, etc. Bacon is a good idea, I'll have to try that out! haha

For me, the vinyl sim is all about the compressor, i dont actually use the static and flutter. The comp has a real organic quality to it that almost anything that goes through it comes out golden the other end.

The 555 looks real nice. but its expensive over here in australia, and has alot of unnecessary features(d-beam, looper..) for my tastes.

The perfect SP, would be the 303's size and look with the SP-1200's basic sequencing and sampling capabilities(tuning, decay, cutoffs, adjustable swing, velocity pads...). With the addition of the signature sp effects, extreme sample times and reasonable price(well all except the 555 anyway).

If there ever were a product, i would snatch a handful instantly....
