see if this bass technique works for you

tested on the 404sx

resample heavy reverb on your snare and/or hi-hat. add drive to its fullest level on every pad and then play some bass.

Something about the interaction between the bass notes and reverb with distortion on creates this really distinct bass quality that i can only describe as kind of earthquake. (it probably works better with bass that has some midrange to it)

ive used the technique here to show you how it sounds.

basically i resampled reverb on the kick, and then added distortion and a few bass notes to get that "bwwwwwoooooorrrmp kind of sound.

see if it works for you =D

hey guys a better way to try this is this.

Resample a snare with long reverb, mark the point after the snare so its just the reverb tail thats playing.

Add distortion to all pads and play the reverb tail at the same time as you play your bass notes.
