The Underachievers "Indigoism". Had this on heavy rotation for a month now. Im going just off the b-side alone starting on like track nine till the end is just nothing but flames. There are a few other good tracks but nine thru is all I listen to. These doods got bars. I usually say fuck a hook but these guys has some of the best hooks I have heard since the nineties. Really thinking these guys are the future. Dope messages, lyrics, hooks. And some fire beats (Where do they get these guys??) Check this shit out fam. doubt you will be disappointed.

^^ all my jams 8)

Ween's always been one of my favorites. I know something is good when it's the weird, druggy songs that lure me in, but it's the cheesy tear-jerkers that really stick with me. It's sad... They tend to be a 'love it or hate it' thing with people, but usually it's just because they base it off of one song and assume that all of it sounds like that. But you can take almost any two songs and they are in different genres with different moods. No two songs sound quite like the same band. I can't really think of any other group so diverse (maybe the Anticon guys)

I like to compare them to older De La Soul, not because the styles are similar but because every song has a distinctive flavor. While I love De La, I think their stuff from Stakes is High onward is much more bland than De La Soul is Dead (my favorite hip-hop album)

Seriously, if you never checked out ween before, listen to a bunch of different stuff, they are all over the place, amazing

I just got back into listening to "Medeski, Martin, and wood". Tons of open drums to sample and they have some funky groovy bass riffs. Matter a fact, tons of everything to sample from those dude and good music too.

And on a similair line, Check out "Galactic". Another groovy jazz band, would remind you of a hip hop version the band that played for james brown. Some more funky shit. Tons to sample there too.
