its sargent sp, drew dank, all that garbage with ANOTHER account. i aint been on in about 2 years since i sold the sp-404 to support the family and stuff... but as luck would have it... taxes are coming back. AND YOU KNOW! im all bout that motha fucking 404sx.... i know this aint the 404 board... but i thought id check in let yall know im coming back to the boards. seein how yall doing.

can you mute pads on the 404sx finally?

or you gotta do some tricks and shit?

WB. Still can't mute pads. Also, vinyl sim is missing compressor and has a weird filter on it now instead. Also, lo-fi isn't true lofi like on the old model, it's a setting you turn on and off even after it's been sampled.

Still a good box, though. There's some differences...oh and there's no internal banks anymore, but it comes with 1GB card, so that's plenty room to make some shit.

Yo drew, welcome back! I've been away for a year or too as well, randomly lurking the forum a bit since I had to sell my SP as well. Still ain't got a new one but a good friend of mine recently got himself a 404 so I checked out the forums once again

May I ask what MPC you had and what you don't like about it? I'm about to buy a sampler in the next couple of months and sympathize with the MPC1000. There, I said it.
