What's funny is i just figured this out today i haven't done the update yet but i was having a problem with resampling and knob3 whenever i would turn the knob to increase the fx output it would edit the sample volume instead which sucked it would even show a number value for the volume so the Roland support site says the updates fixes some resample and display issues i downloaded the update but i don't have a card reader so i am lost for the moment

Something else to think about is this resample bug actually is Easier than the subsonic mute trick or replicating ADSR

I updated my 404 to fix the resample problem. Update only takes a minute once you get a card reader. There's nothing to it.

Update Procedure

Follow the procedure below to install the decompressed system program to SP - 404.
Make the computer and card reader / writer usable.
Insert the memory card into the card reader / writer.
Copy the update files "DCOAPL.BIN" and "DCOAPL2.BIN" in the unzipped folder to the root of the memory card (top level).
Remove the memory card from the memory card reader / writer by the following method.

Turn off the power of SP - 404.

If you leave your machine alone while updating, it should be alright.
Dunno why only roland jp has 1.05 on their site. I installed it years ago, and don't have any problems.
