compare sp 202 standard and hi fi modes with sp 404

I've started tp pull all of my samples with the 202 now, either in lo fi or in standard mode, never really using the hi fi... but ultimately the samples will go to the 404 for eq and any other effects

now my ears are ok but not the best and since the samples are making a number of passes through devices, cables etc I'm just asking if I am being redundant bye using the standard mode on the 202 for cleaner sounds if i should just go straight to the 404...

The SP-202 in hi-fi mode samples audio at 31.25kHz. The 404 samples at 44.1 khz in hi-fi. Even in hi-fi mode, the 202 is lo-fi if that makes any sense.
