how to? (2 sp's + turntable)

My turntable needs to be connected to my mixer to boost its signal, so if i want to record a drum break and send the aux outs of the mixer into my 1st sp 303, is there and easier way to send a 2nd signal to my 2nd sp 303, WITHOUT having to keep unhooking the same cable?

you need both signals coming back into the mixer?

if not take the headphone out...!?

..or why don't you just put your 2nd 303 after the first?
mixer aux->303->303-> aux in

i could imagine putting both after master out too, considering you dont need the 303s back in your mixer?

what mixer u got? most dj mixers got multiple master outs...

basically i need 2 aux outs on the mixer. i need the main outs for my speakers because i also have a korg synth on a seperate mixer channel.

the turntable needs to be ran into my mixer to have its signal boosted. my 1st sp303 (in theory) should only be recording drum breaks played from the turntable, to chop up. and my 2nd sp303 will only be recording melody samples, bass samples.

i want to get a good drum loop playing on my first 303 and then play chopped melody samples on my 2nd sp303

i dont have the cables to do this right now, but you're saying this can be accomplished by hooking it up like this:

turntable out ---> mixer phono channel input
mixer aux out ---> 1st Sp303 input
1st Sp303 output ---> 2nd Sp303 input
2nd Sp303 output ---> mixer channel

would this not cause a lot of feedback or loud noise/hissing?

guess we got a different definition of aux outs?!

which mixer you got ?

i def would put one 303 after the other just for the option to sample with an effect... it's true about the feedback, if you put it back into your mixers line in ("mixer channel")...
thats why i was wondering about the term "aux"... if you got no real aux out/return, there might be no way to get a signal into the 303s and back into the mixer with out a feedback...
in that case: mixer out->303->303->amp/speaker
but i could tell you more by knowing the mixer...

you might have some more hissing on the second 303 but you could switch cards to sample to your second 303 if u know what i mean... the hissing shouldnt be an issue if you keep the input signal clipping a little though...

my cousin is lending me his mixer, its a Mackie U-420. in the manual it says run the aux outs to an effects box/sampler and then return the effected signal back onto channel 3 of the mixer.

maybe i'll need a mixer with 2 extra outputs, one for each sp303...any suggestions if you know of a one with extra outputs?

hey sorry for the late reply... couldnt write the other day...

u sure can use the aux to send signals to your 303 but putting them back into a line channel will cause phasing (same signal twice)....
for using aux the way you want it you would need a return channel;
aux ways are actually will be used for different stuff... e.g. fx-boxes, monitoring...

with your setup i'd go:
turntable + synth-->mixer
mixer master out --> 303->303->amp/speakers
