Playing live, we are looking for a hardware sampler to replace Ableton. Could the 404/555 fulfill the role? Basically, we have a number of keyboards and Machinedrum sync'd to an MPC which also syncs Ableton. In songs, I will launch a few samples per song in Ableton at various times which loops and is warped to fit the track tempo (from MPC). Can I launch samples in the 404/555 the same as in ableton i.e. to nearest bar..... Usually I would have only 1 sample or 2 at the same time playing..... The SP would be sync'd to the MPC clock.

Advice would be appreciated. If the sp is no good, are there decent alternatives? (I know Octatrack but it's expensive)
