Quantizing Pattern Playback

Post by JZTR »

Is i possible to quantize whole patterns when playing them back? E.g. Pattern playing on pad 1 then switch to pattern on pad 2 but it activates on beat.

Unless you're very on point with when you hit the pad there'll often be a slight double beat or the next pattern starts just slightly too soon. Can ruin a great take when recording

If not then a bit of post editing will have to do. Or forget patterns altogether and record live style! :D

wig just means that the patterns on a 404 switch at the end of the pattern that is currently playing, as opposed to the 303 which changes patterns as soon as you press the pad for a new one, regardless of where you are currently in the pattern thats playing, sorta like using the sub pad to trigger patterns in real time on the 404

you can't quantize a switch between patterns in the sense that you can't make a pattern change in time with a certain quantized value in the middle of another pattern, on the 404 it just puts the next pattern on cue and switches to it in time when the current pattern is done playing

ok, now it's more clear.
for a second i thought you could quantize switch between patterns on the 404.
