A non latching pedal with 2 outputs

Post by Gary_Rock »

Does anyone know of a non latching pedal like the Boss FS-5 that has two outputs?

So one pedal press sends two signals to different machines?

Cheers

The boss FS-6 seems to have an output for each of its two switches and an A&B output. Does anyone have this pedal? I'm wondering if both of these will get a signal if I put a cable into each of these?

I want to be able to start and stop loopcapture on two 555's with one switch. I guess I could use my whole foot and press both buttons but I want a single exact switch really.

This isn't fired over MIDI on the SP555 either :(

The FS-6 won't do that. The A&B output is there just to save the hassle of using two cables or a Y cable when connecting to something like the control in of Boss' MFX and such.

I can't remember the brand but I'm pretty sure there are at least two pedals like that on the market, probably "boutique"/handmade though.

I know the FC-300 foot controller has two Amp Control outs (which is like a "footswitch out"), so it can be programmed that way. It's not exactly a single footswitch...

Cheers for the response.

I've just ordered a second damper pedal and I'm going to stick a block of wood to the top of them both so they fire as one and I think I should be able to capture exactly the right length of drums to go with my sample and place them both on the same pad (one on each sampler) and the midi will play them both together without any drifting. Maybe..

That's a nice DIY alternative, faster than dealing with the electronics side of things too probably.

Sounds like a good plan, hope it works.

Edit: http://www.tonebone.com/re-bigshot-sw2.htm (I think this one does it)

Hey nice find! That is just the thing I'm looking for.

Ouch £138 I think I'll proof of concept this first with the lump of wood idea ;)

If I end up doing this all the time though I will grab one of these.

Thanks
