i'm having fun with the sp-202

finally i got the sp-202 in my studio (waited 2 months since i decided to cop it)
funny little machine
the sound is very raw but i like it like that
4mb sm card
all controls/in/outs seems to work fine
also in good esthetic conditions
battery power is dope!
anyone got tips/tricks?

sweet -matching headphones! I just use it for drums and quick ideas so far.Turn it on and use the built in mic when a guitar or keyboard idea pops up. The pitch function is wicked. It can have weird hi pitch noise when sampling in lofi or long. I'm just delving into it myself.

the time-stretch function is very useful too.
i'm sampling some drum breaks from my 45 collection to make some loops to scratch to
i like 'lo-fi 2' quality, it adds some dirty digital noise to the original sounds (sometimes a little too noisy but cool)

The 202 pitch function is a lot of fun, and even tho it is super noisy, the filters IMO the best of the bunch of the SPs. Try sampling yr drums on it then sending them somewhere else. Play the 202'd drums over other ones and you add hella texture.

I always go back to cLOUDEAD or odd nosdam's stuff on the 202 for inspiration. Have fun mans.

i like that the fx settings on samples are stored in the memory of the 202.
you can use a different effect on every sample, unlike the 303
the 202 filters are really cool and the integrated mic is a useful tool to create strange sonds on the fly.
the 202-303 combo is a lot of fun
i would like to sample some shiitt on the mpc2000 to see what i can do with the low-pass filter and trigger the 202 samples via midi
