select pad without affecting playback?

Post by Om_Audio »

Current idea is to have my 404 and my M-Audio microtrack with me, build patterns and arrangements of samples and record these on the microtrack. while doing so I would like to select pads/samples without triggering them or altering anything- is thre a way? the idea is to select something that may be playing but I want to adjust the volume etc.
Cheers-

i'm also wanting to figure out a way to have some pads playing and then be able to trigger the other pads (silently) and then turn up/down the volume on those pads.

i tried the remain/current pad button but couldn't figure out if i could get it to work with volume...did you get it to work?

and, if so, how'd ya do it?

Just have the sample at zero volume before you start your sequence then tap that pad during the pattern playback, put the mfx cntrl knob 3 all the way down tap the pad once again on time with the pattern then slowly bring the volume up with cntrl 3.
