404 sampling

Post by dreaming »

i've recently bought a 404 and can't seem to figure out how the hell to get samples onto it/onto my 1gb memory card. i have .wav files on my computer that i would like to put into banks. i've read the manual and the forums/google looking for an answer, but came up with nothing. what am i missing here?

no just load the software you got with it and import those files into the converter. or better yet, sample some vinyl direct...

hmmm, good question. Maybe you should check out the Roland website to see if you could either download or buy the software.

Or you could just sample from your computer. It would take longer than loading them onto the card. But if you have the right cord (headphone jack/2x rca), you could easily play the samples from your comp and record them onto the 404.
