New user with lame question...How do I troubleshoot this?

I tried to sample a line input source (got good recording levels before sampling, followed the sampling procedure per the manual), but can't get any sound from the pad. Apparently there is something there, as trying to do another sample shows that the previous pad is not available, and the sample level is reading 127 in the Sample Parameter menu. But it appears I'm doing something wrong, and the pad is not outputting sound. Is there some headphone monitor setting somewhere that is possibly off or low?

Thanks!

Hmmm, could be a few things.

Have you saved it to an internal bank or card bank?

Have you set the sample to gate, shot or alternate?

Have you changed the sensitivity of the velocity pads at all?

Have you turned off the input source or set it so that the sample can play at the same time as the input?

There could be other things but that's all I can think of right now..

First play another pad to make sure the SP is outputing a signal. Is it possible that the sample was taken with a few moments of silence? Hold the pad down. Does the pad light up? Enter the Sample Loop Edit screen and see if there is a visible waveform. If not, sample again and make sure the correct input is selected as well as turning on the input source pad so it is lit. Good luck...

My bad--I think I didn't turn on the Input Source pad so it was lit. I guess I missed that step in the manual. Thanks for the help...
