Having read 606man's multisample thread, I would like to share one of my methods of pitching samples (keyboard style) to the Sp-606 using Fruity Loops:

First, you will of course need Fruity Loops. The demo can be downloaded here- http://www.flstudio.com/.

First step is to make a wav file of the sample you wish pitch. Now open FL studio and set the midi ports to the Sp-606 and set the sp as the sound device under "Tools"(sp connected usb). Simply drag the sample wav file to the "sampler" (the interface that displays Kick, Snare, etc). A new row should appear named according to the file name. Right click on the row name and click Piano roll.

Set the Sp in ext mode and press Func+pad 5 to set the pads to note trigger. The sample should be pitched when you hit the pads. Hit the sampling button on the sp (still in EXT mode) and select a pad. Hit the pads chromatically, leaving space between. Send in to the chopper and bam, multisamples!

I hope this is understandable...

Great idea, similar to the way I do it using Acid; just less convoluted
