Sorry for posting this again, but was afraid it got 'lost' in the other thread, plus I felt it warranted a seperate post.

Anyways,
I've now tried the resampling the pad synth, but ran into problems. This is the sequence of events:
1. Set up both effect units accordingly and made adjustments
2. Entered 'sampling' mode and played the pads consecutively, from pad 1 to 13, that is one octave. Made sure to leave a gap between each pad push
3. The sample was put on pad 16
4. Entered 'chop' mode and noticed the 606 was unable to show me the waveform. When playing the pad, however, sound was produced, and I was able to run the chop routine (I could also adjust start and end, so it's clear the sample was there)
5. After chopping the sample, nothing happened - the sample was as before. I tried chop resolutions 1 and 10, still no difference.

What could be the problem?

How long is your sample? Extremely short samples can't be auto chopped.

With 'chop' mode, did you mean Sample Edit mode? As that should always be able to show you waveforms if it's making sounds on playback.

Quite weird issue here though. Too bad I do not have an SP-606 anymore.

it works fine here. sampled it to pad 1 bank 16, stored the chopping in bank 31.

4.the sound level is a bit low, so if you press cursor up, you will eventually see the waveform.

5. chop 1 is fine here. and it should, when making a bit of silence between notes.

My sample is quite long. actually. Maybe the gap between the samples isn't long enough, though? I waited for maybe up to one second.

I'll have another go later today and get back to you guys!

i pressed each pad for 2-3 seconds, then 1 second from silence to the next pad. i suggest you try hitting short notes, and maybe just a couple just to see if it works, then scale it up a bit.

Which auto chop settings did you use? You don't need to wait an entire second for sure, that only makes the sample unnecessarily long.

Does the resampled sample playback?
