hi guys
last night i've tried my sp-303 with an mpc 500 and i find a good sensitve roll with the not so soft mpc 500 pads...
i was asking myself if the SP-606 got this ROLL too, i mean the more i press the more roll "force" i got...
i know sp-606 got sensitive pads too, that's why i ask you.

peace

Are you talking about aftertouch or velocity? The 606 has velocity, but are you talking about pushing the pad harder while your finger is already on the pad to get more emphasis? Cause it can't do that. But it does have velocity.

yes, i'm almost talking about this thing....maybe, in this case, mpc pads works a little better...i mean, i can stay with my finger pointed to the pad and only press or less press it and the expression of the sound change.

I'am waiting for the korg-padkontrol...i think it will be the best friend of the 606...(or enemy!)...
I like the pads of the 606 but i noticed while recording some stuff with the roll button on ,there is much delay...it's like having quantize on and kills some hits ,but i don't...
Has anyone noticed it?

the 606 is definitly nice ( wish it had the 505 clipboard and pitch though ), but I do notice the lag of playing with the roll button on and now i never use quantize because it always seems to fuck up my groove even on 1/32nd. So i just practiced and got better playing on time. The padkontrol is also sweet, but not enough sliders or knobs for me, but great pads.

You should welcome it with many-many samples...don't waste time, prepare some stuff for the 606 untill it comes!

@Tator606:
About the roll lag, i was afraid it was my stuff only!Thanks...!
Why would you need more sliders or knobs?

well i wouldnt need them for controlling a 606, i like the pads a lot on my 606. But if I were to use it in my ableton setup it would be a problem, because I like to map a lot of stuff out to avoid mouse clicking. But I have an axiom anyways but I do all my drum programming in my 606 then dump it into ableton.

I avoid computers because i get hypnotized on the internet(like now!)...but i bought an xv5050 synth and i needed the easy setup the padkontrol has,for accessing the xv sounds...
...But my point is that Ableton is the only and best programm for live control and you should check this(if you haven't done allready!):
