if u can get it hooked up to your pc/mac thru usb u should be able to stream audio directly into the unit for sampling. i don't exactly remember the steps involved, but if u dig threw the 606 section for old threads about similar issues they should help. also the s.p.i. section of the forum has each sp's manual on there in case u need a quick reference. chapter 3 touches on the sampling features in the 606 manual. sorry if u already have some or all of this info homie

If you are doing the mass storage route then it should be just drag and drop then go to file import on the card util and just select the file. If you want to stream it then you could just use the output of the soundcard ( headphone jack) and into the sp. If you are trying to stream the sound via usb I dont know if that is possible without using some software ( usb/midi). You might trying turning it from "input" to "mix" under the usb/midi section in the menu.

True...just remember that the 606 has it's own format...for example, when you sample something, the 606 saves the data in it's own format; then when you want to export that sample, you have to choose whether you want to export it as a .wav or .aif FROM the 606's native format...

Same thing when you want to IMPORT a sample...you have to go FROM .wav or .aif TO the 606's native format IN ORDER TO CHOP the samples that you have on your CF card...

Yes...you can use your 606 as an audio interface when it is connected through USB...u can sample anything that your computer plays...CD's, MySpace music, YouTube audio...whatever you want...

to sample from your TV, just run some RCA (white and red) TO 1/4in." cables from your TV to your 606...

the 606 can sample anything as long as you got the right cables on you...which you can buy for cheap almost anywhere...
