Did you try using a different power adapter thing?

It's not a good thing when it makes 'ticking noises', it might have a broken cooling ventilator. I don't think this can be fixed without sending it to Roland man.

That bites rocks man, sorry. The cooling fan should make fairly loud noises if broken, but if the sound is a softer clicking or popping... then it might be just a broken switch.

There aren't that many moving parts in the SP-606 though, so that why I thought it might be a broken cooling fan issue.

I think your best bet of getting it fixed before monday is unscrewing the device and check the inside for loose wires or broken things. It might be difficult though if it's the switch that's broken as I think it's inside an extra casing. Not sure there, as I never opened mine when I had one.

YEAH I TRIED OPENING IT UP MYSELF AND SEEING WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS.
EVERYTHING LOOKED NORMAL 2 ME.
I DIDNT WANNA FIDDLE AROUND WITH IT TOO MUCH BECAUSE I DIDNT WANT TO MESS UP MY 606 MORE THAN WHAT IT IS.
IMA JUST HAVE TO TAKE IT UP TO ROLAND AND MAYBE THEY CAN FIX THINGS 4 ME.

Unless a whole bunch of chips are burned beyond repair, I am sure they still can fix your SP. It's just too bad about your show, man. Peace.
