Please FPs and Fellow SP-606 users..I have a problem..I create great loops by sample something then editing it with sample edit. Once I get it the way I want it I loop it with Sample Parameter=Alternate then Loop..press the button bingo..a perfect loop Ive just create..now lets realtime record this..Here where the problem comes in..I spend endless hours try to find the beat measure of the loop so that when time runs out it will kick the loop right back in without a delay..I can get it right sometimes but not to often..really depresses me...PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It sounds like a glitching machine to me, but you could try to resample, without FXs and then try again.

Did you time stretch / bpm match also?

So when you play it normally on the pad the loop sounds perfect, but when you go to record it into a pattern, you can't get the pattern to loop perfectly, right?

It's just a time consuming process to get it but you have to mess with the BPM of the pattern until it sounds just how you want it. This process becomes easier with time, so stick with it!

Take a look in the manual pages 50-52.

From the SAMPLE EDIT screen (FUNC->pad 13) you can set the Beat (time signature) and Measure (number of measures) of your sample. The 606 uses this to calculate the BPM of the loop. Also set Play Type to PHRASE.

From the BPM SYNC screen (FUNC->pad 15) set the sample's BPM to SEQ and the 606 will automatically tempo match it. Some people don't like to do this because the audio quality can suffer but it will loop properly.

I have found if you resample with the bpm sync on it will clip the sample. make sure the sample is set to the correct bars, if not try and chop the sample into smaller pieces like 8th notes and bpm sync it.
