Can you use a midi controller keyboard to play the sounds in the p606 software.. and if so.. how??... i have the keyboard connected thru usb and basically what i want to do is create a bassline from the software and sequence it into the sp606...any help would be great!

also... as i mentioned... my midi keyboard is connected to my computer thru usb.... do i still need to make a midi connection from my keyboard to the sp606?

you will need a tiny utility like "midi input viewer" which virtual connects the midi from your key to sp606...
why dont you plug a midi cable?you can avoid playing the samples from sp606 by selecting a different midi channel so you only play P606...
also make sure to enable midi thru function...
(you'll find these options in sp606 func+midi util)

In Reason and in most other programs you just enable through properties the usb keyboard ,
But in P606 u can't do that ,so your keys MUST pass through Sp606...
It can be done with the 2 ways i told you...

I don't think a simple midi connection can be very difficult (to avoid the usb virtual connection)!

I did the same with my synth...I found more usefull a korg padkontrol!
