hey i know a few of you have probably done this but i cam eacross this with my microkorg and and some rhodes sound i loaded into my 606. it was kinda cool cuz i had all of the up/downs alts and 1-4 note seqences available for use. and i could record them during realtime recording with no hassel.

like i said i think plenty of owners have probably tried this already but if u got any type of keyboard or bass sound some of the same tree knock yaself out....bitchess

this really only applies if u say have a bank with something like grand piano sounds from high to low or whatever in the same idea.

its my workaround for not owning a real keyboard so i copped rhodes sounds from big fish audio for 20 bucks. beware they are all stereo.

but if u have something like what i have set up you can run midi out from the MK to the IN on the 606. set the 606 to remote in the midi setection

turn he MK dial to midi and the first knob sets a channel. being that my sounds are in my last ten banks w/ cf card i turn the first knob to channel 8 and use the octave buttons to shift banks. if your recording u can layer sounds during the process and get really creative.
i should put up a demo track but i wouldnt know where to begin...

He's talking about using the MK's arpeggiator to trigger pads on the 606.

If you slave the MK to the 606's MIDI clock (or vice versa) you can record the arpeggiations into patterns using the real time recording mode.

Very neat trick if you have a keyboard with arpeggio feature. I have the Juno-D, and it works flawless. It is also a good work around to record "rolls" on the sp.
