Does anyone know how Burial gets his vocals into his songs? Does he use a program or do you think he finds accapellas?

Also does anyone know when he will release anything?

i have a theory he pitches his own voice to sound like a whole bunch of dif "samples" since they fit so well and i never recognize any of it

I always wondered about this too. A lot of it sounds like vaguely two-step / British RnB sampled type stuff. I don't recognize any of em either but can anyone from the UK weigh in?

some years ago -2007- i read an interview for an italian magazine, he said the most part of the vocals are sung from friends (or artists) and then he cut and pitched many parts of them.

Apparantly Burial uses a mad amount of samples. I know there was a thread on the dubstep forum about all his sources. I think one of his tracks uses a Beyonce sample but with mad pitchshifting applied.

He has also used samples from video games. I think the first track on Untrue is a sample from the intro of metal gear solid 2 for PS2.

From what i've heard he has a lot of new material ready to go. There was a "Kode 9 presents Burial" at a festival at the end of last year and apparantly he is also working with Rusko!
