based out of berlin (isnt someone on here from there?) and they make a good grip of stuff. i dont know how amazing any of their gear is but i stumbled across an image of one of the drum machines and dug deeper and they make a bunch of synth and some random semi cool stuff.. analog synth stuff where you plug in the cords to different plugs.

Analoger Stepsequenzer, 4 x 8 Steps, 4 x CV/Gate Ausgänge, 32 Skipschalter etc.

i just thought it was cool that they produce so many different things and ive never heard nor seen any of it

Yeah man!

Their newest batch of stuff (semimodular zwerg series, 522, 503, modular modules) have finally hit the pro quality mark - before (502 etc) they used to have noisey outputs and such but no more..

If you want a very cheap almost-808 the 522 is amazing.. AMAZING! Much fatter than a tr-606 (what most poor people buy), much more editable, more sounds and cheaper..

I am definitely keen on getting the 522 or maybe some of his Drum 0x modules.

the 503 is good too if you want more bassdrum control.

The only bad thing is how they use those tiny controls on the 522 and how they use such cheap ugly boxes.. but hey.. in the studio it doesn't matter right? and they could be cool for portability too.

apparently the Synth 2 is good and quite moogesque.. the other non-drum synths are from the older batch of stuff that werent so good i think.

Yea I looked at some of the pictures and thought the boxes looked a little on the I "primitive" side. Then I watched a video with knob tweaking and couldn't believe how small the overall unit was! I think it's great and wish more people would make stuff like this. I want a synth that is based around a step sequencer and basically the only option I had was the emx or something older. These guys make at least another option.

Tim- Like Cartesia said, you should check out the dave smith stuff. The desktop evolver is a sequencer based analog/digital hybrid mono synth. It's ugly as all hell but they have a unique sound and you can find them for cheap. In fact here's a kick ass deal on one:

I would buy this for myself if I hadn't bought a new synth last month.
