I had a crack of version 3 in the early 2000s

I've been fuckin with the demo of version 5 and it's sick.

anyone ever used this?

it allows you to create your own instruments out of simple signal and math objects.

yeah, I got it when it was on sale for $99 over thanksgiving. haven't really had the time to dig into it too much yet though. have you been building ensembles in the demo, or just checking out ones from other people?

it only stays open for 30 minutes at a time
and you can't save or load anything premade.

but I put a little position modulation sampler together today.
like load a long sample and set 8 positions.
it took me too rounds of 30 minutes to put it down and by the time I got it working I only had a few minutes to play with it.

but yeah when I had 3 I got pretty geeked out on it.

just bought 5 on eBay.

what kind of stuff are you doing with it?

I was using Reaktor 2 back in 1999 ... just few days ago I gave up searching for any available "cheaper" version of it. If someone have it please send me PM.
Just started searching again.

that sounds pretty dope, once you get your copy we should swap ensembles. I also have a nord micro modular which I really like building evolving synth patches for, I wish I could find a nord G2 for a decent price, but they have sky rocketed since they were discontinued. so when reaktor was on sale I copped that instead to flesh out the stuff that I can't do on my nord (sampling, granular stuff, and sequencing external gear).

I'm still pretty new to reaktor and just started digging into it a few weeks ago, still doing tutorial and basic stuff. it's a lot more detailed/complex then the nord modular stuff.

how much did you manage to cop it for on e-bay if you don't mind my asking? I have a friend that I work on beats with that I kind of want to get into it or at least be able to send him stuff that I've made, but he's pretty strapped for $$$ right now.
